The Phlebotomy Technician program prepares students to be a phlebotomist in a hospital, clinic and laboratory. The primary responsibility of a phlebotomist is to obtain blood specimens from clients for the purpose of laboratory analysis. This requires the phlebotomist to become familiar with all aspects related to the blood collection process. The focus of this training program is to provide the students with the comprehensive skills to be able to perform venipunctures competently and safely.
